Head to The Star Café for wood-fired pizzas and gourmet Italian fare, as it is the perfect restaurant for a family outing or a romantic dinner. Stop into Basin 141, one of the community’s best gastropubs for locally-sourced craft beer and cocktails.

Things to Do

The Montrose Craft Beer Fest is one of the top events in the area. Local brewers and breweries from the greater Los Angeles area gather to share samples of their wares and discuss the unique qualities that set them apart. Local Montrose establishments offer participants free food samples to pair with their cup of ale. 

Support the community by attending the Montrose Farmers Market. This classic market is held every Sunday and features a plethora of fresh and prepared items, including the finest fruits, vegetables, and flowers from verified growers in Southern California. The marketplace also features local crafts, antique dealers, and a fun zone for kids. 

The Arts and Crafts Festival draws in visitors from far and wide. More than 200 food vendors, singers, entertainers, and fine artists participate in this festival. As you meander through the festival, you’ll have the opportunity to purchase a variety of jewelry, art, handcrafted crafts, and other items from local vendors.  

Montrose Oktoberfest features German-style food, fun activities, rides, games, live music, and family entertainment. Oktoberfest also includes several entertaining competitions, such as Mr./Mrs. Oktoberfest, the Mustache & Beard Contest, and the Best-Dressed Bavarian Dog Contest.
